Not Your Basic Elderberry Syrup…
Before Herbalish was born, I tried the big-brand elderberry syrups, but they were so tart—and many contained citric acid, which is commonly used to increase acidity and help with shelf stability. That tart, acidic taste was a no-go for my kids. So I started buying homemade elderberry syrup from a few ladies around town instead… but my kids still wouldn’t drink it.
And I thought, what good is elderberry syrup if it’s a fight to get your kids to take it every day?
So I decided to make my own, and one thing was non-negotiable: it had to be DELICIOUS.
But I didn’t stop at elderberries. Our recipe combines 13 herbs + spices that work synergistically together, creating a robust herbal blend traditionally used to support healthy immune function, seasonal wellness, respiratory wellness, and the body’s natural defenses.
Then we sweeten it with raw Texas wildflower honey.
